Bienvenue - Welcome!
We hold PTA meetings on the 2nd Wednesday of the month, October-May.
To join the PTA, you can sign-up online here.
What Does Our PTA Do?
Thanks to the time and generosity of our many parents, the PTA has been able to serve our DKFI community in many ways.
Activities — The PTA hosts several activities throughout the year including Family Skating,
Movie Nights, Game Nights, etc.
Communication — Our web site and social media help us keep parents informed. We record PTA meetings and post them to our YouTube channel. We will also implement a new communications portal for families soon. Please visit www.dkfipta.org for details.
Euro Store — Students earn “euros” from staff and teachers as a positive work and behavior incentive. Students then can spend their euros in the PTA-run Euro Store to buy prizes.
Fundraising — We raise money via Box Tops, Amazon Smile, restaurant nights, concession
sales, grants, membership dues, etc.
Parent Support — Our parent network is happy to answer questions about DKFI, PGCPS, and transportation, among other things. We also host guest speakers at our meetings.
Publication — We partner with the school to produce a bilingual student literary and arts magazine, Les étoiles filantes.
Teacher Appreciation and Wishes — We love our DKFI staff and teachers. The PTA hosts events like staff breakfasts and luncheons. We also work to fulfill teacher and school requests for things they really need.
