Earth Day Art Show

ALL DKFI students, alumni, and staff are invited to submit artwork for the Earth Day Art Show. 

To participate, follow these instructions below:
  1. Fill out the online registration form.
  2. Read the artwork guidelines below.
  3. Complete your artwork, and write your name/grade on the back.
  4. Drop off the artwork in the front office or to Ms. Cooper by April 1.

Important Dates:
Tues, April 1: Art submission deadline
Sat, April 26: DKFI Earth Day STEAM Expo & Art Show (1-3pm)

Artwork Guidelines

Artwork for the DKFI Earth Day Art Show must be two-dimensional, original art. The artist’s full name and grade level must be written on the back of the artwork. Participation is optional for all grade levels, and each student may submit up to two artworks. 

THEME: Celebrating the Beauty of Earth’s Biodiversity
Biodiversity is the variety of all living things—including plants, animals, fungi, algae, and even microorganisms—that share Earth as their home. Be creative and use your imagination to display the beauty and connections between all forms of life on Earth.

SIZE: Paper size may be up to 12x18 inches or smaller. 

MATERIALS may include:
  • Pencils, colored pencils
  • Paint, pastels
  • Pens, markers
  • Magazine or newspaper clippings
  • Photographs
  • Fabric or paper scraps
  • Cardboard
  • Recycled materials
  • Digital art (printed)
  • Other craft supplies

Artwork will be displayed at DKFI on Saturday, April 26, from 1-3 p.m. as part of the Earth Day STEAM Expo. Please save the date to join the event and view all the artwork on display.
