The combinations of qualities or features that distinguishes one person, group or thing from another. A description of a person's attributes, traits ... A person's makeup and inner framework with sets their standards of acceptable behavior and moral compass. To be a CARDINAL means to demonstrate outstanding behavior and moral clarity; to adhere to and illustrate one's personal values and that of the school's. It means doing what is right, even when it is risky or costly. AMBITIOUS / AMBITION
Individuals are always striving towards a goal. To be a CARDINAL means having a relentless drive to achieve high goals and surpass average expectations. It involves taking initiative, continuously seeking knowledge and demonstrating perseverance in the face of challenges. RESPONSIBLE / RESPONSABILITÉ
Being dependable, making good choices, and taking accountability for your actions. To be a CARDINAL means to accept one's responsibility for one's own actions, and to cooperate with others to achieve common goals. Value the inclusion of all community members, accept the responsibility to work hard and commit to upholding high standards and expectations for all. CARDINALS should take action in a cause that is important to them. They should be active and reliable public servants within their communities. DETERMINED / DÉTERMINATION
To be determined is to show grit in the face of adversity. To be a CARDINAL means to show courage and resolve and overall strength of character through trials and tribulations. It means to press on in the face of opposition and to try again and re-examine one's approach when challenged. INTEGRITY / INTÉGRITÉ
Integrity, in its most basic form, is doing the right thing when no one is looking. To be a CARDINAL means to maintain the highest standards of behavior, ethics, fairness and honesty with ourselves and others; to commit to doing the right things for the right reasons while having a proactive and positive attitude. To be noble means to be stronger and more confident, which is achieved by being more informed, more engaged and supported by a solid foundation. To be a CARDINAL means to engage fearlessly in the school community with passion and energy; to be unafraid to be persistent, active and vocal -- and encouraging others to do the same. ACHIEVER / RÉUSSITTE
To be an achiever refers to the act of successfully accomplishing or reaching a desired goal. To be a CARDINAL means to consistently strive for excellence and reaching or surpassing set goals. It involves setting high standards for oneself, maintaining focus, and demonstrating determination in pursuing academic excellence. |
